Overseen on MySpace

It's shameful what some people will do for a lousy ringtone.

People who listen to Audubon Park likely to have sex with their cousins.

At least that's what I've concluded based on this study.

We Got 2 Pray Just 2 Make It 2Day

Um.....you gotta just scroll down this to get the full picture. The entries "Fishing With the Boys" and "The Redskins Dancers Danced Too!" are priceless. All those out of focus, tiny-pixelated photos from his Sidekick are just, magnifique.

Lost in Russia addendum--The Lost Photos

Just uncovered.

This is a security guard in the subway, hard at work.

This one needs no explainin', but it helps to know that it is taking place on the beach.

[HUMOROUS PHOTO FOUND ON INTERNET]

WHITE WHALE
AUDUBON PARK
SECOND STORY MAN

Local 506, 9pm, $7

[SHOULD BE HUMOROUS PHOTO FOUND ON INTERNET BUT INSTEAD IS SMALL X]

White Whale is the new band of Matt Suggs from Butterglory (and his own personal) fame. They have a new record out on Merge that WordNerdy loves. That should be good enough for you.

Second Story Man are from Louisville and are excellent. We've played with them before, and if you are the type of person who reads this page, then you probably saw them then too, and probably liked it and want to see them again, so you will decide to show up on time and do so. Really, they are worth it and are starting a long tour in support of their new record, so how about we give them a) a good send off and b) a reason to think CH is the jam.

AP? We've finished the record, practiced a bunch, written new songs and are generally ready to show off before a large crowd. Please, if you come, bring a friend.

Girl needs to smoke some weed.

I heard this on NPR this morning. Uh, this I believe: You must fucking chill out!

Meanwhile, RB and I watched this last night and laughed.

Kwalitee Jurnulizm

From today's NY Times, story titled "Bush May Send Rice to Help Calm Mideast":

"Leaning over the back of Mr. Bush’s chair, Mr. Blair first brought up trade discussions, as the president chewed thoughtfully on a roll."

AUDUBON PARK PRACTICE WILL HAVE TO END (EARLY) TONIGHT

Cause David is playing with 'ric and John Harrison tonight @ Fuse.

RIP

Syd Barrett is dead.

JUGBAND BLUES (from Saucerful of Secrets)
It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here
And I'm much obliged to you for making it clear That I'm not here.
And I never knew the moon could be so big
And I never knew the moon could be so blue
And I'm grateful that you threw away my old shoes
And brought me here instead dressed in red
And I'm wondering who could be writing this song.

I don't care if the sun don't shine
And I don't care if nothing is mine
And I don't care if I'm nervous with you
I'll do my loving in the winter.

(Salvation Army Band)

And the sea isn't green
And I love the queen
And what exactly is a dream
And what exactly is a joke.

Inside Joke, Google Image Search Lead to Discovery of Preposterous Cat Picture

Apparently there is a band called Beloved Binge (apologies for not knowing of them if I should have). As some of you may or may not know, the nickname Danny Binge was assigned to me by Wes Hawfield some years ago. I e-mailed Ric (who is wont to call me Danny Binge from time to time) to tell him about Beloved Binge, and he sent me a funny image from Beloved Binge's website. I, in turn, did a Google image search for "Beloved Ric" and it returned, among other things, the image below.

Remember Wilmington: Audubon Park Out of Control, On the Road and Kicking it at the Beach

Yet another morning with Matt Kalb! sneaking out quietly while RB slumbers.

The Piano of Wilmington

The Piano of Durham

The members of AP kick it LIVE in a gas station parking lot. This is as real as it gets.

So we were down stairs at the Soapbox, watching the KungFuDykes set up, waiting for King Lear to be over upstairs. Robert evaporated.

You can't tell it in this picture, but AP member DC Nahm has become a man on this trip.

At the intersection of Hurt and Lost.

A look inside the mind of Mr. FM Cohen, bassist.

RB's face the moment he learns that our music would be better if left in a trash can or eaten by a croc.

Matt Kalb! moves so slowly, his prey often are unaware of, or at least unimpressed by, his approach.

AP needs to have a talk, on the side of the road, at the beach.

"Finn, this is it. Our big break. We've to to try and make it, you know, our dreams and all. Our dreams!"

Thanks to C. Bayley, P.W. Empire, The S. Box, K.F. Dykes, B. Wall, D. Bjrkbk and all the inhabitants of W.Ton for the good times, circa 2005.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!

WRAL lets folks put up their graduation photos.

Conjoined non-identical twins?

"You looking at my girlfriend? Cause I'll fucking kill ya!"

Moms attends graduation Weekend-at-Bernies-style.

Check out the sketchy dude lurking behind them.

Wasn't this dude on "Growing Pains"?

Due to the restraining order, this was as close as this grad could get to the actual ceremony.

Steven Seagal got the Blues...

Noticed a link on Large Hearted Boy about this, which begs the question; Why didn't they cast him in "Roadhouse", where he could have portrayed both Patrick Swayze AND Jeff Healey's characters.
